About me

I started this blog to tell my story and keep anyone interested up to date with the ongoings in the life of a Canadian Olympic Kayaker from the west coast. My next goal is the Paris 2024 Olympic Games but along the way I hope to motivate people to strive for greatness.

So who am I? Simply, I am a kayaker and Tokyo 2020 Olympian. My life is eating, sleeping, working, and training 6 days a week, 2-4 times a day. When I am not putting miles in the boat, the workouts are in the gym or running the trails of the BC mountains. I enjoy my downtime with my wife and our 2 dogs, all of which are kept very active. You can usually find us at the lake, the park, hiking, or getting away for a night camping in the backcountry. When I am home from training camps I volunteer at our canoe club fixing boats, setting up the race course, and helping out the younger athletes. In the offseason I study at SFU.

Thanks,

BFM
